Stereos For Sale (stereosforsale.com) is operated by Scout Theory LLC. By reading or using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

You may read the site, share links to it, and use the contact form for its intended purposes. Please don't misuse it: no scraping that strains the servers, no attempts to break or probe it, no spam through the contact form, and no sending unlawful or abusive material.

The site has no accounts and takes no payments. We aren't a seller, a marketplace or an agent. Any purchase happens on a retailer's site, between you and that retailer or seller, under their terms.

Information only, no professional advice

Everything here is general information and opinion for hobbyists: buying guides, Liner Notes posts, shop pages and notes on gear seen on screen. It is not professional advice of any kind.

• No repair or electrical advice. Vintage audio equipment can contain mains-voltage circuitry, and some parts can hold a charge after the unit is unplugged. Our articles may discuss testing, recapping, restoring or setting up gear in general terms. That is editorial discussion, not instructions, and it is not a substitute for a qualified technician. Don't open, power up or modify equipment on the strength of anything here. Anything you do to a unit is at your own risk.

We don't control them, and we aren't responsible for their content, listings, prices, availability, shipping, returns or privacy practices. Listings and prices change constantly, so always check the seller, the condition and the terms on the retailer's page. If something goes wrong with an order, contact the retailer or seller.

Accuracy and availability

We try to get model details, history and gear identifications right, but vintage gear has many revisions and on-screen sightings are often best guesses. Content may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. If you spot an error, tell us and we'll look into it. The site is provided as available, and may change, be interrupted or be taken down at any time.

Intellectual property

The site's original text, design and compilation belong to the operator and are protected by copyright. You may quote short excerpts with a link back, and share links freely. Please don't republish pages or substantial parts of them without permission.

Brand names, model names, film and TV titles, artwork and other marks shown on the site belong to their owners and appear to identify gear and scenes. No affiliation with or endorsement by those owners is implied.

If you send us something, such as a correction or a sighting, you confirm you're free to share it and let us use the facts in it to update the site. If we use it, we'll treat your name as private unless you've asked for credit.
